If you are anything like me, there are times when your cravings hit, and won’t leave you alone. I have been going about my merry little business, when a sudden, STRONG urge for chocolate hits. I want it, I need it, I gotta have it. If you’re anything like me, you try to limit the amount of sweets laying around the house because you WILL eat every last crumb.
So whats a boi to do? I pull out some basic ingredients from the pantry and fridge and make some magic in my trusty pirate coffee mug! (it says ARRRRRGGH! on it. No judgement, please.)

4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa (NOT Swiss Miss–the unsweetened Hersey type)
1 egg, whisked
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil (I use canola for baking)
3 tablespoons chips (chocolate, peanut butter, mint, whatever you like!)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 coffee mug (pirate motif optional
This one is simple, ladies. Mix everything together in your mug and microwave it for 3-5 minutes, depending on the power of your microwave. The results won’t win any beauty contests, but it will hit the spot. Experiment a little! I’ve subbed a spoon of strawberry jam for the cocoa and added almond extract instead of vanilla; both were delicious!
