So I was having this conversation with a friend, AP, yesterday and I thought I would write a bit about it here.
I am not sure whether you have heard or not, but there is a debate surrounding high school senior, Nattaphon Wangyot, a transgender student, winning all-state honors in girls’ track and field. You can see the video and read more of the particulars here but you guys are smart enough to know what the question is.
Is it fair for a transgender woman to be competing with a CIS woman in sports?
Yeah I know I should have started blogging about something less controversial… like stem cell research or the 2016 election. Continue reading Well… Hmm : Transgender Athletes — Fair or Nah?
Hola Lovebugs (or the the lovebugs who haven’t left me for greener blog pastures)!
I know it has been a while since I blogged, I would go into the sordid details… but not in this post. Just suffice it to say that… NOPE NOPE not this post
But just know I am back, still black and still a lover of the lady parts!

Now this is one of those blog posts that I have to think about before publishing. I talk to myself about it, I question myself about it, and hopefully I click publish in the end.
I overthink posts like this because I know what I am going to discuss can be as sensitive for you the reader as myself the writer. And deep down I don’t want the amazing non black queer people I know to think that this is about them… unless it is.
With that being said I need to unfollow the National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce on Facebook.

If you read this, you already know the details but if not.
I make one-of-a-kind, hand stitched journals and sketchbooks.
Hopefully one day soon I will open an etsy shop until then I am going to K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) and just update this post with new journals and updated pricing.
I also make custom orders and requests, which is super fun. If you are interested in that check the FAQs below. Continue reading Shop the K Word
